When Sandra and Colin first got in touch with me about their rustic provincial wedding at Château de Robernier in the south of France, I was so excited – they were planning the most beautiful and romantic wedding with an outdoor ceremony, courtyard wedding breakfast and even a photo booth. Sandra and Colin seemed like the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The bride and groom prep

I started shooting at Château de Robernier, where the couple and their families were getting ready, and it was so chilled out because everyone was in a good mood. Sandra wore Augusta Jones and Colin wore a fantastic full black tie and they looked so perfect.

The ceremony

The wedding took place at the front entrance to Château de Robernier and was a beautiful outdoor ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which was just magical. After the ceremony, they walked down the aisle together and were showered with colourful confetti, and then the celebrations began.

The party

The wedding reception took place in the sheltered courtyard of Château de Robernier, which they’d decorated with festoon lights and a beautiful clear marquee. It was so unique.

It was a beautifully sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests ate canapes, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. My favourite photo from the afternoon is from the private vineyard behind Château de Robernier.

During the reception, they had a cocktail drinks reception, which went down a storm. For dinner, they had a slap up meal, and it was absolutely delicious. After the meal everyone enjoyed the free bar to the max, then the party got started and the couple hit the dancefloor. They also had a photo booth, which everyone loved – especially me because the guests all wore the props on the dancefloor.

The English Celebrant: This was undoubtedly the most fun wedding I’ve conducted this season, Colin and Sandra were an absolute blast to work with and their guests were such a joy, everyone laughed and cried and laughed again! Thank you for publishing these fabulous photos, and my thanks too to Mel Kinsman (makeup artist) for suggesting me for the role of celebrant.
